Weldon is a tiny farming community of 88 people in south-central Iowa's Decatur County. Drive Highway 69 south from Des Moines (60 miles) or north from the Kansas City area via I-35 to Highway 69, then west on County Road J46. The town sits among rolling corn and soybean fields typical of Iowa's agricultural heartland, with its 1885 one-room schoolhouse still standing as a piece of local history.
