Welcome is a small farming town of about 1,000 people in south-central Minnesota, just off Highway 4 about 10 miles from Fairmont. Most visitors take I-35 south from the Twin Cities (110 miles) and exit at Fairmont. The town sits in classic Minnesota prairie farmland and serves the surrounding agricultural community. Its roadside welcome sign has become a popular photo spot for travelers.
