Weir is a tiny Hill Country community of about 400 people, 30 miles northwest of Austin via US 183. Most visitors pass through on scenic drives between Austin and Georgetown, following winding rural roads through limestone hills and prairie transitions. The original Weir family homestead chimney from the 1800s still stands as the town's most recognizable landmark.
