Weir is a small Mississippi town in Choctaw County, accessible via Highway 15 from Louisville (25 miles northwest) or Jackson (80 miles via Highway 15 to I-20). The area features rolling hills, pine forests, and red clay soil typical of central Mississippi's interior. Highway 15 follows part of the historic Natchez Trace trading route that once connected Native American settlements.
