Weippe is a small logging town of 320 people tucked into the forested hills of north-central Idaho. You'll reach it via US Highway 11, which connects south to US Highway 12 along the Clearwater River. Most visitors come from Lewiston (75 miles) or follow Highway 12 from Missoula. The town sits at 3,000 feet surrounded by dense timber country. It's home to the headquarters of Nez Perce National Historical Park, commemorating Lewis and Clark's 1805 expedition.
