Waynetown is a small farming town of 800 people in west-central Indiana, reached via State Road 28 from Crawfordsville (12 miles east) or Interstate 74 from Indianapolis. The route passes through classic Midwest corn and soybean country with gently rolling terrain. The town's historic covered bridge over Walnut Creek stands as one of Montgomery County's few remaining 19th-century wooden spans.
