Waynesfield is a farming community of 752 people in west-central Ohio, about 8 miles west of Lima via US Route 30 and State Route 117. The village sits amid flat agricultural land typical of Ohio's glaciated plains, with hot summers and snowy winters supporting year-round farming. Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon, was born on a farm just outside town in 1930.
