Wayne is a small county seat of 1,675 people in western West Virginia, sitting where the state borders Kentucky and Ohio. US Route 52 runs right through town, connecting north to Huntington (20 miles) and south into Kentucky, while State Route 37 provides east-west access. Most visitors arrive via I-64 through Huntington or use Route 52 for regional trips. The 1899 Wayne County Courthouse still dominates the modest downtown.
