Waverly is a small Missouri River town about 50 miles east of Kansas City, reached via Highway 24 or Interstate 70 to Highway 23. The community of 900 sits on bluffs above the Missouri River in farm country. The restored 1879 railroad depot downtown now houses the historical society.
