Waterville is a small central New York village where Routes 12 and 8 intersect, about 20 miles southwest of Utica. Most visitors arrive via Route 12 from Utica or connect through Route 8 from New Hartford. The community of 1,731 maintains its rural character with antique shops and local businesses, plus the restored 1896 Waterville Opera House that still hosts live performances.
