Waterville is a tiny northeastern Iowa town of 137 people in Allamakee County's hills near the Mississippi River valley. Highway 9 runs east-west through town, connecting to Waukon 15 miles west, while Highway 76 provides north-south access. The area's natural springs gave the town its name and still flow year-round.
