Waterloo is a tiny Laurens County community of about 200 people in South Carolina's Piedmont region. Highway 221 is the main route through town, connecting north to I-26 and Columbia (75 miles) and southeast to Greenwood (15 miles). Most local traffic comes from Greenwood, while longer trips typically originate from the Columbia area via I-26. The old Seaboard Air Line Railway depot still stands downtown, marking the town's railroad heritage.
