Wataga is a small farming community in west-central Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of Galesburg via US Highway 150. The town of 710 sits amid typical prairie farmland in Knox County. Most visitors arrive on Highway 150, which connects to I-74 from the Quad Cities area. The historic grain elevator along the highway has served as a local landmark for decades.
