Washington is a small Warren County borough in northwestern New Jersey, about 60 miles west of New York City via Interstate 78. Exit 15 connects to Route 31, which runs through the town center and links to Flemington and Hackettstown. The area features rolling hills, farmland, and the winding Pohatcong Creek. Washington claims the distinction of being the "First Town in New Jersey," as it was the first municipality incorporated after the state ratified the Constitution.
