Washburn is a tiny farming town in Missouri's Barry County, reached via Highway 37 about 15 miles northeast of Cassville. Most visitors arrive from Springfield by taking Highway 60 west then turning south on Highway 37. The town of 498 sits in rolling Ozark foothills near the Arkansas border and is known for its 1902 one-room schoolhouse with its original bell tower.
