Warren Air Force Base sits just west of Cheyenne in Wyoming's high plains, accessible via Interstate 80 and US Highway 85. The base serves as headquarters for the 90th Missile Wing, controlling more Minuteman III ICBMs than any other U.S. installation. Most visitors arrive from Denver (100 miles south) or through Cheyenne Regional Airport, 8 miles northeast. The missile silos under Warren's control span an incredible 9,600 square miles across three states.
