Warner is a small farming town in eastern Oklahoma, about 15 miles southeast of Muskogee via Highway 2. Most visitors arrive from Tulsa (one hour via US-69 and Highway 2) or use the Checotah exit off I-40. The community of 1,600 sits in rolling countryside typical of the Arkansas River valley region. The town's 1936 WPA-built brick school building still serves as the elementary school today.
