Warfield is a small eastern Kentucky town of 297 people in Martin County, connected by US Route 119 to Pikeville (30 miles south) and Williamson, West Virginia (15 miles northeast). The community sits in the Tug Fork River valley among Appalachian ridges, with the county seat of Inez just 8 miles away via winding mountain roads. The town developed at the confluence of several creeks feeding into the Tug Fork.
