Wardsville is a small city of about 1,600 people in central Missouri, 10 miles southeast of Jefferson City via Highway 94. The town sits in the rolling Missouri River valley where government workers often live while commuting to the state capital. Highway 94 connects to Interstate 70 through Jefferson City for longer trips to St. Louis or Kansas City. The historic Katy Trail State Park, Missouri's longest hiking and biking trail, passes nearby on the old railroad right-of-way.
