Walnut Grove is a small central Mississippi town of 737 people, located 40 miles northeast of Jackson via Highway 35. The town sits along the main north-south corridor connecting Forest and Carthage, with easy access to Interstate 20 for Jackson trips. It's home to the Little House on the Prairie Museum, marking where Laura Ingalls Wilder spent part of her childhood in the 1870s.
