Wallace is a historic mining town in northern Idaho's Silver Valley, accessible via Interstate 90 between Spokane and Missoula. The interstate runs right through downtown, connecting to Coeur d'Alene 45 miles west and smaller mining communities to the east. Most visitors arrive from Spokane airport, about 65 miles away. The entire downtown district is on the National Historic Register.
