Walker is a suburban city in western Michigan's Kent County, just northwest of Grand Rapids. Interstate 96 runs east-west through the area, while US-131 provides north-south access and Alpine Avenue serves as the main local corridor. Popular routes include short commutes to Grand Rapids and longer drives from Detroit (2.5 hours via I-96) and Chicago (3 hours via I-94/US-131). Gerald R. Ford International Airport is 15 miles southeast. Walker's Millennium Park features one of Michigan's largest inland lake beaches.
