Waldron is a tiny farming community in south-central Kansas with just five residents, located in Harper County near the Oklahoma border. Reach it via US Highway 160 west from Harper, about 15 miles northeast, or from Wichita by taking US 81 south for 60 miles to local county roads. The area sits in classic wheat country with endless grain fields. The most notable landmark is the towering grain elevator that rises from the prairie, visible for miles across the flat farmland.
