Wadsworth is a small Illinois town near the Wisconsin border, about 45 miles northwest of Chicago. Route 173 runs right through town, connecting to Antioch and the lake areas to the west, and Zion on Lake Michigan to the east. Most visitors come up from Chicago via I-94, then cut west on Route 173. The town sits where two old Native American trails once crossed, now marked by Route 173 and Wadsworth Road.
