Wabasha sits on the Mississippi River in southeastern Minnesota along the scenic Highway 61 corridor. The drive from Minneapolis takes about 90 minutes via US 52 south through Rochester, then US 61 north. Popular routes include the Great River Road from Red Wing (25 miles north) and connections from Wisconsin via Highway 60. The Anderson House claims to be Minnesota's oldest continuously operating hotel since 1856.
