Vivian is a small Louisiana town of about 3,000 people, located 25 miles north of Shreveport on Highway 1. Take I-20 to Exit 26, then follow Highway 1 north. The town sits in pine forest country near the Arkansas border and was once a major oil boomtown. The restored 1906 railroad depot now houses a museum dedicated to the area's petroleum history.
