Vista is a North San Diego County city about 40 miles north of San Diego and seven miles inland from the coast. Take SR-78 as the main east-west route through town, connecting to I-5 at the coast and I-15 from the north. The Mediterranean climate and 650-foot elevation keep temperatures comfortable year-round. The city is home to the historic Moonlight Amphitheatre, carved into a natural hillside.
