Viola is a small farming village of about 550 people in southwestern Wisconsin's Vernon County, nestled in the scenic Kickapoo River valley. Highway 56 is the main route in, connecting to Richland Center 15 miles southeast and Readstown to the west through rolling Driftless Area hills. The historic Viola Store, over a century old, still operates with its original wooden floors and vintage fixtures.
