Vinton is a small desert city of 2,600 people in far west Texas, about 15 miles northwest of El Paso along the Rio Grande. Access is via Interstate 10 or State Highway 20, which runs right through town. El Paso International Airport is 20 miles away. The town uniquely operates its own water utility system using local groundwater wells.
