Villisca is a small farming town in southwest Iowa, about 50 miles from Omaha via Highway 34 west to Red Oak, then Interstate 29 north. Highway 71 runs north-south through town toward Clarinda and Atlantic. The community of 1,000 sits among rolling agricultural fields in Montgomery County. The town is famous for the 1912 Moore House axe murders, now a museum offering paranormal investigations.
