Versailles is a small farming town in western Ohio, about 40 miles northwest of Dayton. State Route 47 and US Route 127 intersect here, connecting to Greenville and other rural communities. Most visitors reach town via I-75 to SR 47 west. The locals pronounce it "Ver-SALES" in honor of the French settlers who founded it in the 1830s.
