Vergas is a small farming town in western Minnesota's Otter Tail County, about 20 miles southeast of Detroit Lakes via Highway 108. The most common route from the Twin Cities follows I-94 west to Fergus Falls, then north on US 59 and west on Highway 108. The town's working grain elevator remains a prominent landmark visible across the surrounding corn and soybean fields.
