Vera is a small farming town of 323 people in northeastern Oklahoma, about 30 miles northwest of Tulsa via US-75 north and Highway 20 west. The main route connects Dewey and Ramona, serving local commuters to Bartlesville and Tulsa. The town's working 1920s grain elevator still towers over the surrounding wheat fields and cattle pastures.
