Varnado is a small Louisiana community of 425 people located about 60 miles north of New Orleans in Washington Parish's pine country. Take I-55 to Exit 57, then Highway 38 west for eight miles to reach town. The area sits in the gently rolling Florida Parishes region and features the George R.
