Vandalia is a small farming town in north-central Missouri, about 80 miles northwest of St. Louis via I-70 and US 54. Highway 54 runs right through the middle of town, connecting to Mexico and Louisiana, while Route 161 provides north-south access. The city of 3,100 sits in typical Missouri farmland and serves the surrounding agricultural area. It's home to one of the state's few remaining municipal pools with an original 1960s concrete diving platform.
