Van Wyck is a small Lancaster County town of about 950 people located right on US 521 near the North Carolina border. Most visitors arrive via I-77 to Rock Hill, then take US 21 and US 521 north, or drive straight down US 521 from Charlotte. The town sits in classic Piedmont countryside with rolling hills and pine forests. Van Wyck was named after an early Dutch settler family.
