Van Horn is a desert crossroads town where I-10 and US-90 meet in far West Texas. It's a natural pit stop between El Paso and San Antonio, and the jumping-off point for Big Bend and Guadalupe Mountains national parks via Highway 90 south. The high desert setting brings cooler temps than most of Texas and occasional snow. EV charging stations serve the long stretches between cities. The restored 1930s Hotel El Capitan recalls the town's railroad heyday.
