Valencia is a small Butler County community of about 550 people, located 25 miles north of Pittsburgh via Route 8. Most traffic comes from I-76 to Route 8 north, or Route 228 from I-79. It's a popular bedroom community for Pittsburgh commuters, with Pittsburgh/Butler Regional Airport nearby. The town sits where several creek valleys converge, once home to historic mills.
