Valders is a small Wisconsin farming community about 15 miles from Manitowoc, connected by Highway 310 to Highway 151, the main north-south route through eastern Wisconsin. Interstate 43 lies about 20 minutes east via Highway 151, putting Milwaukee 90 minutes away. The village is named for the local Valders limestone, a distinctive dolomitic rock quarried here and used in construction throughout the Midwest.
