Uvalda is a rural Georgia town of 540 people in Montgomery County, about 90 miles from both Atlanta and Savannah. Reach it via US Highway 280, which runs east-west through town, or State Route 19 from the north. Most visitors connect through Vidalia, 15 miles east on US 280. The town sits amid cotton fields and pine forests in Georgia's agricultural heartland and operates its own small municipal airport.
