Utica is a tiny Minnesota town of 216 people in Winona County's bluff country, about 20 miles west of the Mississippi River. Highway 14 is the main route through town, connecting to Winona eastbound and the Twin Cities area 110 miles northwest. The historic three-story limestone Utica Institute building from 1884 dominates the small downtown area.
