Ute is a farming community of 351 people in western Iowa's Loess Hills region. Highway 141 runs through town, connecting north to Highway 20 and south to Highway 175. Most visitors arrive from Denison (25 miles east) or Sioux City (45 miles northwest). The town hosts an annual turtle race during Ute Days that attracts participants from across the region.
