Upper Elochoman is a 49-person community deep in Washington's Elochoman Valley, reached by a winding 15-mile drive from Cathlamet on State Route 4. The route follows Elochoman Valley Road through dense Douglas fir forests in the Willapa Hills. Most visitors come from Longview (45 minutes) or Portland (2 hours via I-5 and SR 4). The 1924 Elochoman Valley Grange Hall still hosts monthly potluck dinners.
