Unity is a tiny high desert community in eastern Oregon, about 45 miles northwest of Baker City via Highway 245. The area sits at 3,400 feet elevation among rolling sagebrush hills and ranch country. Most visitors arrive from Baker City or use Highway 245 as a connector between central and eastern Oregon routes. The community's historic one-room schoolhouse from 1938 still stands as a testament to rural Oregon's educational past.
