Union Point is a small railroad town in east-central Georgia, about 70 miles from Atlanta via I-20 and Highway 15. The main routes are Highway 15 running north-south and Highway 278 east-west, connecting to Greensboro and Augusta. The town of 1,700 sits in the rolling Piedmont hills and still has its original railroad depot where three rail lines once met.
