Union is a small east-central Mississippi town of about 2,000 people, located 20 miles northeast of Newton via Highway 15. The main routes are Highway 15 north-south and State Route 482 east-west, with easy Interstate 20 access 15 miles south for trips to Jackson or Meridian. The community sits in rolling pine country and features a historic railroad depot from the early 1900s timber era.
