Uncertain is a tiny East Texas town of 90 people on Caddo Lake near the Louisiana border. Take Highway 43 north from Marshall (15 miles) or Interstate 20 from Dallas or Shreveport to reach this cypress swamp community. The town got its unusual name in the 1960s when residents couldn't decide what to call it, so they just went with "Uncertain."
