Ulysses is a farming town of 5,500 in southwestern Kansas, sitting where US Highway 160 crosses State Highway 25. The main routes connect to Dodge City (45 miles east), Garden City (40 miles northeast), and Liberal (35 miles south). Most travelers use US 160 for cross-state trips. The Grant County Museum features a working 1930s soda fountain with original equipment.
