Udell is a tiny Iowa farming community of 13 people in Appanoose County, reached via Highway 2 west from Centerville. Most traffic comes from the county seat 20 minutes northeast or from Des Moines two hours north via Highway 5. Despite having fewer than 15 residents, Udell maintains its own post office.
