Twin Falls anchors Idaho's Magic Valley along Interstate 84, about halfway between Boise and Salt Lake City. The city sits where US 93 crosses I-84, making it a key stop for travelers heading to Sun Valley or Nevada. Joslin Field airport is 5 miles southwest of downtown. The area's semi-arid climate keeps roads clear most of the year, and several EV charging stations serve the I-84 corridor. The city got its name from twin waterfalls on the Snake River that were lost to dam construction a century ago.
